1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using ChemEase, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application. These terms apply to all users of the app.
2. Description of Service
ChemEase is a chemistry education application providing tools such as equation balancing, molar mass calculation, periodic table reference, molecular visualization, and other chemistry-related utilities. The app is designed to assist students, educators, and chemistry enthusiasts in their learning and teaching endeavors.
3. User Accounts
When you create an account using Google Sign-In, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your account credentials with any third party. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account, and you agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application
- Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app's systems or networks
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful code through the app
- Use the app in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair its functionality
5. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of ChemEase — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software — are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
6. Accuracy of Information
While we strive to provide accurate chemistry data and calculations, ChemEase is intended for educational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of all calculations and data presented within the app. Users should verify critical information independently and should not rely solely on ChemEase for professional, academic, or safety-critical decisions.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Premium features may be offered through in-app purchases managed by Google Play. All payments are processed by Google, and billing is subject to Google Play's terms and conditions. Refund policies follow Google Play's standard refund policy. We reserve the right to modify pricing and available premium features at any time, with appropriate notice to existing subscribers.
8. Limitation of Liability
ChemEase is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the application. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the app at any time, without prior notice or liability, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service, is harmful to other users, to us, or to third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the app will immediately cease.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
